If you want to be a film maker, an actor or just part of the process, this class is for you.

Class Description: Students will learn the basics of film making through small projects, while developing their skills towards their entry into our film festival, a red carpet celebration at the end of the class. Individual and small group collaboration will allow enhancement of their leadership and listening skills.
Film projects include:
** commercials ** how to videos ** superhero dating videos **
movie trailers ** stylized scenes ** newscasts ** silent films ** and more
Students will learn techniques for:
· creating a story: storyboarding, script writing, and scene improvisation
· using a video camera: camera angles, movement and placements
· video editing: cut and splice, adding text, transitions, sound and music
· acting for the camera
· analysis of film

A free and private class web page at myschoolbinder.com will provide students and parents with lesson plans, resources, assignment calendars, class summaries, discussion forums, and more, in a safe and secure environment. The class web page will be the communication forum for the class and will allow students and parents to know exactly what is happening with the class, as well as providing families opportunities for further study at home.
